Yankee Stadium

The well-known original baseball stadium opened in 1923 in the Bronx section of New York City and was instantly known as "The House that Ruth built" because baseball legend Babe Ruth drew large crowds allowing for the construction of the new stadium. Later that year, the New York Yankees won their first of 25-plus World Series titles. A new $1.3 billion facility that was built across the street from the old one opened in 2009 and has a seating capacity of 50,287. The new Yankee Stadium also has 444 concession stands, 12 dining options, team stores and a 59 by 101 foot high definition LED main scoreboard.
