The main difference is:
West rim has an optional helicopter and boat tour into the canyon, as well as; the skywalk.
The South rim does not have either optional tour attractions.
The south rim is Grand Canyon National Park (more scenery based). The West rim is the Skywalk Grand Canyon (more for the skywalk and circular tram tourist region)

This is for tour that departing from New Jersey, and this tour will not longer provide pick up after September 5th. Tour usually end in Chinatown around 6-7PM, for passengers who wish to return back to New Jersey, the tour will depart from Chinatown at 8PM.
