The garden in Washington D.C.'s National Mall dates back to 1820 and was the mutual dream of United States presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. U.S. Botanical Garden that displays more than 65,000 plants is separated into The Conservatory, The National Garden and Bartholdi Park. Highlights are the Rose Garden, Butterfly Garden, First Ladies Water Garden, Plants in Culture and the Bartholdi Fountain.
