Laura Plantation
Near the Louisiana town of Valcherie, Laura Plantation is a restored Creole plantation and historical site. Open to guided tours, the plantation is hidden by the large oak trees that surround its grounds, obscuring the main Federal-style building. Originally owned by Frenchman and Revolutionary War Veteran Guillaume Duparc, visitors can see artifacts from the various owners and their families.
