Located across the street from Ford's Theatre where United States President Abraham Lincoln was shot and next to the Petersen Museum where he later died, this educational institution is dedicated to the life and presidency of the nation's 16th president. Ford's Theatre Center for Education and Leadership opened in 2012 and contains the Aftermath Gallery, Legacy Gallery, Leadership Gallery, a 34-foot book tower and education labs. Visitors can view exhibits, relics and multimedia presentations on Lincoln and the United States during his presidency.
