Q: Hi its me again! Would it be possible to get off the bus at noontime to get to the Alcatraz tour on the 2nd day? I still would want to join the tour in the morning. I am aware that Alcatraz tour is not included in this tour. When do I get to know the exact hotel, and i can i call the tour guide ahead of time to arrange this? View answers (1) A: |

You need to talk with your tour guide on the day of the tour to check if there is enough time for you to visit Alcatraz. The rest of the tour group will be traveling to different locations on the bus and we will not be able to offer you a special drop off or pick up as it may delay the tour.
There are no early arrangements we can make for your side excursion.
90% of the time, the hotel used will be Crown Plaza Union City or another hotel in Fremont. The distance from the hotel to San Francisco's wharf region will take around 30-45 minutes.

This tour does not offer an alternative Alcatraz visit. Please note: Most Alcatraz tickets have already been sold out for the month of august (up to around 08/22).
You can ask the tour guide if an Alcatraz visit is possible on your tour, however; the Alcatraz visit may not be possible and you will have to opt out on the day of your San Francisco tour and find your own tickets and transfers to and from the Alcatraz location and the hotel. The tour will carry on its scheduled itinerary for all other travelers.
This tour offers two hotel stays in the Union city / Fremont region.
