Whyte Museum

Opened by the Whyte Foundation in 1968, the museum initially founded its records around the Archives of the Canadian Rockies, but expanded with the assimilation of the Banff National Library. It has grown further with additions in artwork and cultural artifacts from the Canadian Rockies, as well as photographs of Byron Harmon, the pioneer photographer of the Rockies. Located in Banff, the museum routinely features exhibitions and allows private groups to tour the homes of the founders of the museum, Peter and Catharine Whyte.
