Moraine Lake

This distinctive serene blue lake is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Canada's Banff National Park and its picture appears in many places including the back of some Canadian $20 bills. Moraine Lake gets its vivid color from glacial rock flour and has a surface area of approximately .19 square miles. It is surrounded by the stunning Rocky Mountains and has many hiking trails allowing visitors to explore the area.
