Rose Bowl Stadium

This historic outdoor stadium located in Pasadena, Calif., near Los Angeles hosts the annual Rose Bowl on New Year's Day and is the home field of the University of California Bruins football team. Rose Bowl Stadium was designed by Myron Hunt in 1921 and construction on the original horseshoe-shaped structure ended in 1922. The sports stadium took on a circle shape now with a circumference of 2,430 feet after several expansions. It also was a venue for events during the 1932 and 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Rose Bowl Stadium is a National Historic Landmark and its name originated from the Tournament of Roses Parade started back in 1890.
