Rosa Parks Transit Centre

The 257,000-square-foot Detroit transportation center opened in 2009 containing 15 bus bays, a taxi stand and station for the Detroit People Mover. The three-story Rosa Parks Transit Centre was designed by Tushar Advani to resemble an airplane in the clouds. The structure also contains retail space, restrooms, a waiting area and a police substation. Civil rights activist Rosa Parks lived in Detroit towards the end of her life.
