Fox Theater
This original 20th Century Fox movie house opened its doors in 1928 and was the first theater constructed to have a speaker system for films with sound. Its unique art deco-style is accented with a fusion of Burmese, Chinese, Hindu and Indian designs and was restored in 1988 at a cost of $12 million. The 5,124-seat Fox Theater, which is a Registered National Historic Landmark, hosts the top shows in entertainment in the Motor City.
