Los Angeles' only cultural institution dedicated exclusively to contemporary art, this organization is made up of MOCA Grand Avenue, The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA and MOCA Pacific Design Center. The Museum of Contemporary Art was established in 1979 starting with an office along Boyd Street. Today, the museum has more than 6,800 works of American and European art created since 1940.
