The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum is not only a National Historic Landmark but also one of the most highly visible museums in the world devoted to automobiles and auto racing, located on the grounds of the world-famous speedway of the same name.The museum’s collection is comprised of race cars from many series, including IndyCar, NASCAR, Formula One, Sprint, Midget, motorcycle races, drag racing, and more than 30 Indianapolis 500 winning cars. Other items on display include trophies, plaques, and racing paraphernalia such as helmets, gloves, and driver’s suits.
