Havana Cathedral

Within Old Havana's Plaze de la Cathedral, the Havana Cathedral stands. Designed in the Baroque style in 1777, the structure, like many of Old Havana's buildings, utilized coral and marine fossils in the stonework. Within the Cathedral is a statue of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of Havana, a neoclassical style with marble floors, and paintings by the Spanish painters Peter Paul Rubens and Bartolome Estaban Murillo.
