East Passyunk Avenue

This famous South Philadelphia roadway is a great place to find authentic Italian restaurants and markets as well as many other eateries and stores. East Passyunk Avenue began as a Native American trail and commercial development began in the late 1700s. The area also is home to the two famous competing Philly cheesesteak restaurants - Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks - situated right across the street from each other. East Passyunk Avenue is sometimes called "Philadelphia's Restaurant Row."
