Atlantic City Boardwalk

The first boardwalk in the United States was this 5.5-mile long promenade that opened in 1870 next to the beach in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Atlantic City Boardwalk is lined with casino resorts, restaurants, snack stands, many stores and attractions. Salt Water Taffy was first made and sold on the boardwalk back in 1883. The boardwalk's Steel Pier has a carnival-like atmosphere with rides, games and entertainment. Other notable sites include the Atlantic City Convention Hall, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, House of Blues, Boardwalk Hall, Pier Shops at Caesars, Tanger Outlets The Walk and The Quarter at Tropicana.
