Hello and welcome, I am 41 years old male from Ontario Canada. I am planning a road trip from Toronto all the way to Western and North Western Canada. We will be visiting various National Parks, various Provincial Parks, and taking breathtaking adventures and hiking and some of the most epic scenery you could have ever seen. I have a passion for photography for wilderness and nature and wildlife. This is the reason why I am travelling and planning this trip especially. I will travel whether I have a partner or not. I have a van which can accommodate up to 3 people with sleeping and sitting in full comfort. BUT, I am not planning to travel with more than 2 people this time. I have travelled a lot and know places that many do not. We will be camping in various places and sometimes weekly visit National Parks and Provincial Parks with various facilities to accommodate us for our needs. I have passes to many parks which means we do not have to pay entry fees. For camping and sleeping overnight we can share the costs. It is usually $5 per night. HOWEVER, I know many places and sites where it is FREE to camp and sleep. SO MOST of our travels will be FREE sleeping at various camping sites. Unless we are in the major city or Public Attractions areas then everyone has to pay. I am flexible with the travel but my plan is for Spring/Summer of 2020 and I continue to travel each and every Spring/Summer. So there is travel planned for 2021 and 2022 and 2023 and so forth. If you are NOT in Canada, then you need to get to Canada on your own. I cannot do anything for that. I can pick you from the airport if you are arriving in Canada. Looking for travel/hiking buddy, AND/OR rideshare partners to pitch in for gas. I am planning this trip for August 2023. Exact dates are TBD, we can plan together! Places I would like to stop at along the way (feel free to make suggestions!): Bear Glacier Park (BC) Hiking around Haines Junction (Yukon) (specifically, Auriol Trail or Saint Elias Lake trail or both!) Hiking around Tombstone Park (Yukon) (specifically, Goldensides Mountain) Have not yet fleshed out the Alaska side of the trip, other than knowing that I will loop around at Denali through Fairbanks and then through Anchorage on the way back. I would love to visit Skagway on the return trip, but it is quite out of the way, so will have to think about it a bit longer... -About me- I am fun and sociable, not very serious (great sense of humor!), well travelled, fluent in English, Persian and Spanish. I LOVE nature/scenic drives, animals, and I like to stop frequently to take photos of beautiful scenery along my drives. I have been off social media (no insta, no facebook, no twitter etc etc) for almost 10 years now and I love it! If serious, DM me your whatsapp so we can get to know each other! I have a 2007 Corolla in great condition, will be getting tires/oil change before my trip! -What I'm looking for- My preference is for female, but am okay with respectful and mature males. If you're a chatterbox, cool! I love to listen and sometimes get chatty myself! If you're quiet, reserved, not very talkative, that's cool too because silences are not awkward for me! As long as you are friendly. I would ask that you pitch in what you can for gas (by my calculations it will be minimum $700 CAD that we can split), and pay for your own food/supplies/lodging. We can sort out lodging arrangements together (camping, hotel etc). My preference is for camping. If you do not have a tent I can bring an extra for you. If you're just looking to rideshare anywhere along my route, that's cool too - msg me and I can share the details of my route (I will be going north along the Cassiar route up to Tombstone).
