Got my lifetime shot on the Great Wall! Shanghai’s Yu Garden lanterns and the ‘Bottle Opener’ tower were equally frame-worthy. Pro tip: Bring extra camera batteries-you’ll need them!

Our guides Kevin in Beijing and Lily in Shanghai were walking encyclopedias! The Great Wall views were breathtaking and Chenghuang Miao’s snack streets were a delightful surprise. The high-speed train ride was smooth and comfortable.

Walking the Forbidden City’s axis like emperors gave us chills! Shanghai’s Bund architecture blended old and new stories perfectly. As an engineer, the bullet train fascinated me. Peking duck was delicious. Everything was awesome!
