Overall, I enjoyed the tour, but I’ll be honest: the hotels in a couple of cities felt a little outdated. Breakfasts were fine, just basic. On the positive side, the destinations themselves were amazing—Fátima was very moving, and Port..o was absolutely charming. The Duero river cruise and the evening walk in Lisbon were highlights. Our guide was knowledgeable, though at times I felt he rushed through explanations. Still, the logistics were handled well and customer service responded quickly when we had questions before departure. If you want a worry-free way to cover Portugal’s main sites, this tour is solid, but if you’re picky about hotels, you might want to upgrade where possible. Read full review

This trip was a feast for history lovers. I adored the walking tour in Lisbon, seeing the Batalha Monastery, and the funicular ride up to Bom Jesus in Braga. The guide really helped us understand Portugal’s mix of Roman, Gothic, and Moori..sh influences—it felt like a living classroom. Hotels were clean and well-located, breakfasts offered plenty of options, and the included dinners were better than I expected for a group trip. Transportation was punctual, and the group size was manageable. For me, the highlight was Pinhão: sipping wine by the Douro with those hills as a backdrop is a memory I’ll cherish forever. This tour definitely covers a LOT of ground. I loved seeing Évora’s Chapel of Bones (creepy but fascinating) and the Convent of Christ in Tomar, both highlights for me. Porto was lively, and the boat trip on the Douro was unforgettable. ..The only downside was that sometimes I wished we had more time to linger in smaller towns—we were often on a tight schedule. That said, the bus was modern, comfortable, and air-conditioned, which mattered during the hot days. Our guide Clara kept things smooth and managed a big group well. I can’t say enough good things about this trip. The itinerary was well-balanced—Lisbon, Porto, Fátima, and those little medieval towns felt like stepping back in time. The Douro River cruise on the traditional rabelo boat was pure magi..c, especially with the vineyard views all around. Our guide Miguel was incredibly knowledgeable but also had a sense of humor that kept the group engaged. Hotels were comfortable, breakfasts generous, and the two dinners included (in Fátima and Coimbra) felt very authentic. Everything was well-organized from the airport pickup to the last day’s transfer. Highly recommend if you want a full taste of Portugal in just over a week. Read full review
