This trip was such a highlight of my time in Turkey! The flights and transfers from Istanbul were smooth and stress-free, and our guide was fantastic—so knowledgeable about both the history and the culture. The Göreme Open Air Museum and.. the underground city were just mind-blowing. The cave hotel in Urgup felt authentic yet cozy, a perfect touch. I also loved the pottery demonstration in Avanos, very hands-on. Wish I had booked the hot air balloon option, but even without it, the valleys and fairy chimneys were unforgettable. Hands down, one of the most magical trips I’ve ever taken! Everything was well-coordinated, from the Istanbul flight to the cave hotel stay. The balloon ride at sunrise over the valleys was pure magic—I can’t recommend it enough. Our ..guide was funny, approachable, and really knew how to bring history alive. The logistics were well handled—pickups, flights, transfers all on time. The cave hotel was super charming. Cappadocia itself is amazing—no doubt. The fairy chimneys and Göreme are otherworldly. But I was a little disappointed with the meals; the lunches felt too “tour-group style” with limited options. Our guide was kind and helpful, but ..sometimes it felt like we were being rushed through sites. Overall, still worth it for the sights, but I’d recommend adding at least one more day if you can.
