You see mountains. You see wildlife. You may even see those weird helicopters that suck up water to go dump on a wildfire. Absolutely smashing way to explore a somewhat remote part of Canada. Omar, our guide, was an absolute gem. Knew how t..o read the energy of the crowd, kept everything running smoothly, and was just a genuinely wonderful person. Only complaint would be how the company sells the add-ons. Either give us the option to prebook or invest in something like Square so the poor guide doesn’t have to manually type all the card information in over the course of 5 hours, because service is spotty at best in the Rockies, while contending with winding roads and sometimes difficult lighting conditions.
Overall, beautiful tour, saw everything I would’ve wanted to, other than an uncooperative Mount Robson. Whoever’s reading this, you should go, and if Omar reads this, thank you again for a great trip!Read full review
My family and I had a great time on the Rockies Summer Classic Tour by Discover Canada Tours. Chris was an excellent tour guide. He was organised, caring, approachable, friendly and entertaining and we couldn't have asked for a better perso..n to accompany us on the tour. The itinerary was also well put together despite the fact that we covered a lot of ground for a 4 day tour. The accommodations were also well chosen and the coach was very comfortable. The tour is also well-priced for all the inclusions we got from it. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to friends etc.Read full review

Amazing experience with this tour, you discover the essence of Canada. Its Rocky mountains along with its lakes are spectacular.
The pace of the tour is adequate, maybe you spend a lot of time in the bus and the stops are quick, but there i..s not another way in 4 days to be able to see as many emblematic landscapes as possible.
Special mention for Becky, we have never had a guide like her: kind, funny, attentive, well organized, always punctual, patient... unbeatable. Thank you! Read full review
How does one start describing this experience? Truly nothing short of extraordinary! 11 days going from the Interior, to the Rockies, Northern BC and then down to the Island from North to South, it was honestly a month's worth of traveling ..and adventure. There was a lot planned but there was also enough time to do additional optional activities or just have free time to explore. The planning and break down of the trip was top notch!
Our guide and driver Meghan did an excellent job sharing knowledge and information, making sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they need, planning for stops and drive throughs at the most amazing hidden gems. She has set the bar high as to what a tour guide should be like! The bus we travelled on was spotless and cleaned every day and was extremely comfortable.
This was such a great experience that we're already scouring the site for our next trip!Read full review
I took the Rocky Summer Classic tour with Discover Canada. It was amazing and fun trip. Omar and Rin made sure the entire trip was fun and organized. Along the way Omar also told us stories and facts about different places in BC and Alberta... To top it off, we also played Trivia. I will definitely take a tour again with Discover Canada.Read full review
Banff has been on my bucket list to visit. When I had the chance to visit Vancouver I really wanted to do a tour to Banff and I found Discovery Canada Tours - everything was so wonderful, from the initial email enquiry to the actual Canadia..n Rockies trip in April 23.
Our tour guides Omar and Gary were both excellent, knowledgeable and accommodating. The drives were long at time but they kept us informed and entertained. The driver Paul also shared great information along the way and many thanks for slowing down and stopping when safe to do so whenever we encountered Canadian wildlife. What a wonderful experience. Although it really did not occur to me beforehand that the lakes are all still frozen at the end of April, we didn't get to see the beautiful colours but walking on frozen lake and playing with the super soft and satisfying snow was also a great experience. I will surely be recommending Discover Canada Tours, and look forward to joining another tour with Discover Canada on my next trip to Vancouver. Thanks again.Read full review

Accommodations, meals, vehicle met and many times exceeded expectations. Each day offered new adventures, sites, options. Itinerary was perfect with driver/guide Kara being professional, cheerful, thoughtful and adaptable. I highly recommen..d Discover Canada and wish they did tours in the east as well. Great value for money. The support from Jennifer at head office to reconfigure end of trip helpful as well. Thanks for memorable holiday in the west.Read full review
A long (+3,000 kmn) trip but in thoughtfully planned segments and with frequent stops to walk a trail, visit a cultural centre, or enjoy either down time or an optional extra activity. Meghan, our guide/driver, was outstanding: skilled, rel..iable, dedicated, constantly attentive, yet wrapped it all up in good humour and fun. She created an atmosphere to which we all responded. This trip is a good choice for people who are themselves good-humoured, patient, and both interested in and respectful of the natural world and the First Nations people who are so deeply woven into it all.Read full review
This trip was for our 25th wedding anniversary and we've never been to Canada before. What an awesome way to see and learn about a country!!! If you like awesome scenery, getting out and experiencing nature, and learning about history and c..ulture this company is for you!
Our tour guide Meghan was organized, professional, friendly, and fun! She is an excellent driver and makes the traveling very fun. We were given a Bingo sheet of things to be on the lookout for which made it very fun. We had a small, friendly group of 10 travelers which also made it very fun! Our bus was very comfortable and Meghan kept it very clean. We got out to do short hikes and see beautiful waterfalls, so we got to stretch our legs. You are given choices of activities to do which are "a la carte." We did the gondola ride in Banff, the boat ride to Spirit Island on Maligne Lake, kayaking on the Campbell River, and Buchart Gardens for our extras. Even riding the huge ferry from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy was an amazing experience through the Interior Passages. We saw Bald Eagles in the trees along the way and everything was just so scenic!
We had heard about the passing of Queen Elizabeth at the beginning of our trip and when we were toward the end of our trip in Victoria we came into town at the very moment they had the bells tolling 96 times for her 96 years. We were able to pull over and participate in the solemn moment of silence with those gathered there at the Parliament building with the flags at half mast to honor the Queen. That was a moment in history that will never be repeated and that was very special. My husband and I toured the Royal B.C. Museum and loved it. The Natural History exhibit and the Climate Change exhibit were great. We loved the Train Time IMAX movie, as well. It was all about the train history in the US, and had wonderful music, scenery, and graphics. It made me appreciate trains in our world,
This was, by far, the best vacation I have ever experienced and am so thankful for the memories. At times the scenery is so breathtaking you can't take it all in. Canada is so beautiful and it is overwhelmingly beautiful. The people are so nice, and it is very clean. I am so thankful to Meghan and Discover Canada Tours for such an amazing, fun, and memorable journey! It was a trip of a lifetime!!! Look out for the Goats on a Roof!!!!Read full review
This tour was near the end of the season. There weren't many of us on this day trip (may be 9). We travelled in a cramped 16 seater (not a typical 2x2 layout) which had barely any leg room. Luckily I was able to move to a better seat to str..etch my legs. The tour was as described with the exception that we only got 2.75hrs at the icefield rather than 3.5. So what could have been better?
Well, as we arrived the trip to the transfer to the glacier was in 15mins. This meant no time to do anything other than use the washroom. On our return we immediately got on to another bus to travel to the skywalk. The gap should have increased to give guests a chance to get a light lunch at the centre. Once the skywalk was over we travelled back to Calgary. Again, no chance to grab a light bite or visit the displays at the centre. The host was eager to get going and would only allow us to use the washroom. I am fortunate that I am bilingual so can understand the host but someone who only understood english would possibly struggle on this occasion.Read full review
