I have a questions regarding all the maybe extra costs. Do I have to have to attend the french dinner, breakfast, cruise entry etc?
Is this a most or just a possibility to do?

If you look under each day of the itinerary, it will tell you which day it may be, or similar to that hotel.

I would just like to ask if there's an option to not get picked up in LAX, but instead somewhere downtown LA? we would like to have a good night sleep in one of the hotels in LA before we start the tour because we will be having a long haul flight from the PH. The tour includes accommodations starting the first day of the tour.
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel, and you can spend the day at leisure.
You can choose to arrange your own transportation to the hotel booked for the first night which is about 1 hour away from the airport, if you opt out of the airport transfer.
