Yes, you are able to independently explore the area on your own after the group touring in the area.
However, the hotel used for this tour is usually located in one of the following cities, which can make transferring back to the hotel on your own harder to arrange: Rochester, Amherst, or Buffalo.

If you would like Chinatown Manhattan as a drop off point, you would arrive back in Chinatown late evening on the last day of your tour, most likely around 7:30-8:30pm depending on traffic and weather conditions. You can always ask your tour guide during your tour for detailed information.

We would not offer tours that would not be safe due to various conditions such as the weather. For this particular tour, we suggest bringing warm clothes for the Winter and be advised that some attractions such as the Maid of the Mist and IMAX show may not be available during this cold season.
