The tour package does not offer the option to upgrade the beds, but you can request for bed type upon check in at the hotels subject to price increases and availability. Please directly check with Alcatraz Island ticketing under your own arrangement, for their availability in order to arrange this during your free time. Note that same day bookings for a trip out to Alcatraz Island will usually not be available due to the tour's popularity.
