Dear Anne, Usually you will be able to have approximately 1 hour for lunch break in Solvang. Then after checking into the fist night hotel, you are free to arrange your own time. The Alcatraz is not included in the tour package. If you wish to arrange on your own, you will need to communicate with your guide. However, if you go ahead make the arrangement by yourself, you will need to arrange your own transportation back to the night's hotel.
