Snoqualmie Falls

This Washington icon is one the state's most popular scenic attractions. Standing at 268 ft (82 m), Snoqualmie Falls is named for the Native American tribe that lives in the area, who believed the falls to be humanity's place of origin. More recently, Snoqualmie Falls achieved fame for its appearance on the TV show Twin Peaks. Families and those with pets will love the short interpretive trail that leads from the upper falls viewpoint to the lower one, where you can learn about the local flora and fauna including salmonberry, bigleaf maple and western red cedar.
