San Francisco Civic Center

The National Historic Landmark that contains government buildings, cultural establishments, education institutions and memorials began with the 1915 construction of the magnificent San Francisco City Hall. Other occupants include War Memorial Veterans Building, War Memorial Opera House, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Green Room, Nourse Theatre, Herbst Theatre, Louise M. Davis Symphony Hall, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Asian Art Museum, San Francisco Art Commission Galleries, Phillip Burton Federal Building, Supreme Court of California, San Francisco Unified School District and The Heart of the City Farmer's Market. The civic center also is the location of many festivals, parades, rallies and protests.
