Known as the Coral Islands of Rosario, this archipelago rests just off the coast of Cartegena, Colombia. One of the 46 Natural Parks of Colombia, these islands have been protected by the Colombian government since 1988 due to the need to preserve the coral reefs of the surrounding area. Visitors to the islands are free to take guided tours of the area, snorkel and fish in the waters; and visit the aquarium and open-sea oceanarium.
