Restauradores Square

This rectangular public square marks the start of Lisbon’s main boulevard. It is dedicated to Portugal's restored independence from Spain, during the 1600s, following the Restoration War. An obelisk monument stands at its center and several notable buildings line the square. You can’t miss the magnificent 18th century Palacio Foz, done in the baroque style and Eden Theater’s Art Deco façade, which remain intact although the building has been converted into a hotel.
