Opaekaa Falls
These spectacular falls pour down into a tranquil pool on the east side of Kauai and get their name meaning "rolling shrimp" in Hawaiian from the crustaceans that used be in the falls. Kuamoo Road is noted for having the best lookout point for Opaekaa Falls that are surrounded by tropical greenery. The natural landmark was filmed for scenes in the Jack Lemmon movie "Wackiest Ship in the Army."
