Madison Square Garden

Often just called "The Garden," this Midtown Manhattan structure built in 1964 on top of the Pennsylvania Railroad Station is the fourth Madison Square Garden to be constructed in New York City. The first Madison Square Garden complexes were erected in the city in 1879, 1890 and 1925 and named after the fourth United States President James Madison. The major sports and entertainment venue is home to the New York teams of the NBA Knicks, NHL Rangers and WNBA Liberty.
