Lake Mohonk

In the towns of Rochester and Marbletown, New York, is a small lake probably best known for the prestigious resort on its shores: Mohonk Mountain House, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986. Guests of the resort may go boating or fishing on the lake. A day pass is also available for those wishing to see the spectacular views from the cliffs without actually staying at the resort. Be sure to take the Sky Top Trail to the observation tower. For more of a challenge try the rock scramble on the Labyrinth trail. For an even more immersive outdoor experience hike one of the dozens of trails in adjoining Mohonk Preserve.
