Kingston City Hall

The Neo-classical style structure designed by architect George Brown and built in 1844 across from Lake Ontario contains Kingston government offices and services as well as businesses. Kingston City Hall's stained glass windows depict scenes for different World War I battles and the concept was conceived by 1920 Mayor Hugh Nickle. The National Historic Site of Canada's Memorial Hall chambers house the casket containing the body of Canada's first prime minister Sir John A. Macdonald.
