Hudson River

The 315-mile long river that flows through the states of New York and New Jersey is bordered by a popular 550-acre park and was named after English explorer Henry Hudson who navigated the waterway in 1609. The Hudson River starts at Henderson Lake and empties into New York Bay. It is spanned by the George Washington Bridge that joins New York City and Fort Lee, New Jersey and is the busiest bridge in the world. The Hudson River is lined with historical sites, museums and scenic landscapes.
