The majestic Gothic Revival style building was designed based on the British House of Commons and is situated in Centre Block on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario. The current Canadian House of Commons Chambers opened in 1920 can seat 580 people in addition to the 320 members and is ornately decorated with furnishings from the Victoria Memorial Museum, where Parliament used to meet. Beautiful Gothic style stained glass windows and numerous sculptures were added to the chambers in the early 1970s. The windows are made up of 2,000 pieces of hand-blown glass.
