Castle of the Moors
The Castle of the Moors is a 10th century fortress that lines the hills of the Serra de Sintra. King Ferdinand II restored the fortress in the 19th century while working on Pena Palace. However, it is still unique amongst the refined castles and estates of Sintra. The charming ancient ruins are surrounded by forest, but stand on its walls and you’ll be treated to sweeping views across all of Sintra.
