Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum

Restored authentic ships, actors, interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations take visitors of this floating Boston museum back to the historic date of December 16, 1773 when colonists rebelled against the British by dumping tea into the harbor. Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum encourages guests to participate by wearing "Mohawk" disguises and throwing tea off the ships as they learn about the events leading up to the American Revolution. It also features a 1773 tea chest from the historic event, the Minuteman Theater playing the museum's award-winning multi-sensory film and Abigail's Tea Room. The museum that opened in 2012 was named "Best of the New 2012" by Boston Globe Magazine and "Best New Museum" by Yankee Magazine.
