The Aquarium of the Pacific is the fourth most-attended aquarium in the U.S., receiving more than 1.5 million visitors a year. Displaying over 11,000 animals in more than 50 exhibits, the aquarium presents the diversity of the Pacific Ocean, Magellanic Penguins of South America to the Southern California steelhead and its roll in the local ecosystems. Alongside these fascinating animals, the aquariums host many interactive exhibits and stations devoted to up-to-date research regarding ocean life, as well as festivals, rotating exhibits and lectures, and public events.
