Designed and painted by the Director of Mapping at the Cuban Academy of Sciences, Leovigildo González Morillo, the mural stands at 120 meters high and 180 meters wide on the Dos Hermanas hill. It chronicles the history of life from ancient sea organisms to early humans in brightly painted colors. Today the mural is still maintained to prevent erosion from the environment.
