Kronborg Castle in Helsingor is the setting for Shakespeare’s "Hamlet," which theater groups still perform here on occasion. Originally completed as a royal residence and fortress for King Frederik II in 1584, all but the chapel of Kronborg Castle burned in 1629. The King’s son rebuilt it in 1638, and this Baroque structure remains today. Tour the castle to see its original chapel and the longest hall in Europe: Knights Hall.
