Summary of The Day: Today you'll arrive in Washington D.C. Please schedule flights through Dulles International Airport (IAD) to take advantage of our free shuttle service. Summary of The Day: Today we'll head to Lancaster County in Pennsylvania and begin amazing trip with the Amish village (admission not included). The Amish tribute originated at early 16th century and began to move to American Continent at mid-18th century due to the bloody religious persecution in Europe. The Pennsylvania Amish community in Lancaster County is the oldest and largest Amish community in the United States, numbering about 30,000. The population has more than doubled in size by the past 2 decades. Despite the development of the contemporary technologies in the 21st century, the Amish still live a rural way of life. Amish life is always remarkable in the trip with such a huge contrast with the modern social values. We will have a tradition Amish lunch here (own expense)(only for departure dates before 4/1/2017).
Next, we will visit Philadelphia, the birthplace of American democracy. At the Independence National Historical Park, your guide will arrange a free time for you to walk around and explore this lovely park. Inside the Independence Hall, you'll be able to stand directly where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed. You'll also have the chance to see the Liberty Bell and its famous crack. You will also see the Statue of Washington, Congress Hall, and many other great attractions.
In the evening, upon arrival in New York, you are invited to join our delicately tailored New York City Night Tour (admission not included, it requires at least 4 guests enrolled) that accesses you to stunning views of the “Sleepless Town.”
Summary of The Day: Our highly organized tour is particularly designed for you to learn more of the city’s unique history, culture, and the core spirit of the New Yorkers! In the morning, we will start the tour at the world’s financial and securities trading center, Wall Street, taking pictures with Trinity Church, New York Stock Exchange and its signature sculpture Charging Bull. Later, by stepping up to the Empire State Building Observation Deck (admission not included), you can enjoy a panoramic view of Central Park and New York City. Also, you will take a sightseeing cruise tour (admission not included) on the Hudson River to enjoy the city view from a totally different angle, as well as take pictures with the backdrops of Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge.
Furthermore, we will visit the USS Intrepid (admission not included), the legendary aircraft carrier and national heritage, which is reopen for visitors. Concorde supersonic airliner, the space shuttle Enterprise, the world’s fastest jets and a guided missile submarine will be also featured in the exhibition.
By the end of the day, our tour bus will pass by the Fifth Avenue, and Rockefeller Center. By stopping at Times square and Broadway, you will have a chance to visit EITHER Madame Tussauds to take pictures with the famous, OR the Ripley’s Believe It or Not(only for departure dates before 4/1/2017) which is perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in the unusual and the unexpected (admission not included).
We will go back to Washington, D.C. later of the day.
Summary of The Day: On our final day we'll explore the monuments of Washington, D.C. First we'll visit the National Mall (also known as the Capitol Hill), which is between the Lincoln Memorial and the United States Capitol. Our tour will also stop at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. The two monuments honor members of the U.S. armed forces who fought in the wars. (Effective from 4/1/2017, we will also visit Library of Congress.)
Then we'll head to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, which will give us a glimpse of the human aviation and space heritage. We'll also receive a vision of space travel in the future through thousands of objects on display, including the 1903 Wright Flyer, Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia, and a lunar rock you can touch.
Furthermore, we'll take photos with backdrops of the White House and the U.S. Capitol from outside. And you surely don’t want to miss the opportunity to take our DC sightseeing cruise on the Potomac River (own expense). Along the way, you will pass by the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, WWII Memorial and more.
Upon completion of the tour, we will send you to Dulles International Airport (IAD) or Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport(DCA) for flights home.
