The skies are often brilliant blue, providing majestic views of sites such as Sacsayhuamán, the Salt Mines of Maras and the terraces at Moray. Because this is the peak tourism period, book accommodations early around Cusco city or in the Vilcanota valley. However, despite the warm days, evenings and high-altitude mornings are very cold - a warm jacket is essential.
