Byodo-In Temple

The elegant structure on Oahu was opened on June 7, 1968 on the 100th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. Byodo-In Temple in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park is a smaller model than its 1052 namesake in Japan. The serene Hawaiian Buddhist temple is open to all faiths and is surrounded by tropical greenery, Japanese gardens, a reflection pond and waterfalls. You'll also find wild peacocks and Japanese Koi fish.
