Day 1 Hometown - New York
The tour begins with your arrival in New York City, the most populous city in the United States, where our tour guide will meet you directly at the airport (JFK / LGA / EWR) to transfer you aboard our scheduled group shuttles to the hotel (check-in after 3PM).Tonight, enjoy a special night tour* (arrival must be before 5:00pm) which will explore notable areas such as South Street Seaport, which offers romantic views of the City's bridges and skyline; the City's central business district, where we'll visit Rockefeller Center, a complex that houses the magnificent ice skating rink (in winter), the gilded statue of Prometheus, and the GE Building, headquarters of NBC Studios; and Fifth Avenue, a street lined with so many luxury shops and businesses that is frequently called the "most expensive street in the world." Finally, we will visit Times Square, an iconic crossroads of the city, where many colorful neon and LED signs light up the night sky. Remarks: 1. Pick-up service from JFK, LGA and EWR airports. For the best service, please choose EWR (Newark Liberty International Airport). 2. NYC night tour available only for arrivals before 5 PM for an additional $25 fee (optional). If you arrive in New York early on the first day of this tour, you can enjoy complimentary free time (without tour escort) in Chinatown. After your free time, you can meet your tour guide in Chinatown, 87 Bowery, New York, NY 10002 at 05:00pm. You can also confirm the meeting time and location with your tour guide before you enjoy your free time. Please notify us when you make reservation if you want to enjoy the Chinatown Free Time. Meanwhile, please arrange your flight to New York before 3:00pm. Our local agency will offer you complimentary luggage service.
Day 2 New York - Corning Glass Center - Niagara Falls
From New York, we'll make our way to the Corning Glass Center*, a showcase and museum for the art and science of glassmaking. Here you will witness first-hand how craftsmen and artisans work superheated glass into beautiful decorative pieces; at the conclusion of our visit, you will have the opportunity to purchase these unique items for yourself or a loved one in the Center's wonderful gift shop. Afterwards, the tour will head to Niagara Falls to enjoy its beautiful night views. In what's now a 140-year-old tradition, every evening the Falls are illuminated in changing colors of the rainbow.
Day 3 Niagara Falls - Toronto Today we'll truly experience Niagara Falls in its full fury and majesty as the most powerful waterfall in North America, an average of 4 million cubic feet of water falls over the crest every minute. First, we'll take a thrilling boat ride aboard the world-famous Maid of the Mist* which offers up close and exciting views of the Falls (seasonal). Next, at the IMAX Niagara Falls* - The Falls Movie: Legends and Daredevils, we'll see and hear the unforgettable stories of the courageous few who have dared the waters of the powerful Falls. We'll also visit the Skylon Tower*, where we'll get spectacular views of the region from 775 above the mighty Falls. Our tour then departs for Toronto, where we will visit Toronto's City Hall and Parliament Buildings, the Sky Dome Sports Complex, the University of Toronto, as well as the CN Tower*, its most recognizable landmark and the tallest building in Canada. At the top of the tower, enjoy panoramic views through glass floor observation decks and see why this structure was recently nominated one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. We may also join a Lake Ontario cruise* to take in the city's beautiful skyline, followed by dinner in Chinatown.
Day 4 Toronto - Thousand Island - Ottawa - Montreal
Leaving Toronto in the morning, we head for Thousand Islandsregion. Situated between Canada and the United States along the St. Lawrence River, there are actually 1,864 individual islands that dot the waterway. We'll take a cruise*in this special area, where we'll see sights including the romantic Boldt Castle, built in the 1890's by millionaire George Boldt for his beloved wife Louise, as well as the "Shortest International Bridge in the World," a small footbridge across two islands located between Canada and the United States. Afterwards, the tour heads for Ottawa, the Canadian capital city, where we will visit the magnificent Parliament Building and the stately Clock Tower nearby. Then it's on to the French Canadian city of Montreal, where we'll tour the Olympic Tower*, part of the Olympic Park built for the 1976 Games, as well as two of the city's major churches: the Notre-Dame Basilica, similar to its counterpart in Paris, as well as St. Joseph's Oratory, a major site of Roman Catholic pilgrimage and worship.
Day 5 Montreal - Quebec - Boston
The tour departs Montreal for Quebec City in the morning. Once in the city, we?ll visit the historic area of Old Quebec, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you will have the opportunity to stroll through the beautiful downtown district, admire the medieval style St. Louis Gate, and photograph the majestic Chateau Frontenac perched nearby above the Saint Lawrence River. You will also visit Quebec's La Citadelle*, an active military garrison that sits atop the hill overlooking the city and is home to the Royal 22e Regiment "Van-Doos" (the French speaking regiment of the Canadian military forces.) The tour then proceeds to in Boston in the evening, where we will have the opportunity to visit downtown Boston and Quincy Market. Situated between Boston's Financial District, the Waterfront, North End, Government Center and Haymarket, vibrant Quincy Market is one of America's oldest gathering places. You will also have a chance to sample some delicious lobster*,a Boston favorite, during dinner.
Please be informed that for safety reasons, the itinerary will be determined based on weather and road conditions, starting now until 03/12/2012, this tour may not visit Quebec. Visitors may not dissent.
Day 6 Boston - New York - Hometown
We will take a city tour of Boston in the morning, beginning with the campuses of Harvard University and MIT, two of the most prestigious places of higher learning in the world. The tour will continue to Boston Common, a 50 acre park in the heart of the city and the oldest park in the United States, and the State House, the prominent golden-domed seat of the Massachusetts legislature, which sits atop Beacon Hill. Season and weather permitting, we will take a harbor cruise* to observe Boston's working port and examples of extravagant waterfront living. After the cruise, passengers have the option of being dropped off at Boston's Logan Airport for their return flight home, or continuing on to New York for their departure flights. The tour then concludes with a transfer to Boston Logan airport, and/or a return bus trip to New York City.Guests can schedule flights to depart from Boston after 1:30pm (The tour will be at the Logan airport at around 11:45am) or return to New York via bus and board flights there after 7:00pm (The tour will be at the airport at around 5:00pm).
