The monument structure dedicated in 1997 and located in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia is devoted to past, present and future women serving in the military. Women in Military Service for America Memorial designed by Michael Manfredi and Marion Weiss is at the cemetery's Neo-classical style Hemicycle entrance. The monument features a fountain spilling into a circular reflecting pool, 108 glass panels many etched with quotations attributed to servicewoman throughout American history, 12 computer stations where visitors can search for and learn about military women, Hall of Honor, a theater to watch films and a gift shop. Approximately 200,000 people per year visit the site.
