White Sands Beach is a popular recreation area located in Big Island of Hawaii. It is officially named La'aloa Bay but is more commonly referred to as White Sands Beach, and sometimes referred to as Magic Sands. The beach's sand is washed out by a storm couple times a year, giving the beach the nickname "Disappearing Sands," when this occurs. The beach has a strong surf break on the shore, making the beach popular for surfers and body-boarders.
