About Vinales Valley

With an area of 51 square miles, the Vinales Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage site that features traditional agricultural techniques in the production and harvest of tobacco. Due to the variety of rocky outcrops and mountain walls, the area has become popular for mountain climbing and hiking as new trails are discovered. The region is famous for housing the Cuevos del Indo, a large flood cave system, and the Mural of Prehistory.
