The city of Vigo is situated in northwestern Spain and is surrounded by mountains, providing the city an oceanic climate. Vigo was originally a small village during the Middle Ages and wasn't considered an actual village because of its small population until the 15th century. Vigo is made up of 21 districts which are subdivided into wards.
