About Viedma Glacier

One of many glaciers that make up the Southern Patagonia Ice Field, Viedma rests in the Los Glaciares National Park and feeds into Lake Viedma. 380 square miles large, its surface is lined with canyon sized cracks and crevices that form from the stress of the glacier's movement. This flow continuously causes great chunks of ice break off and form icebergs in the lake.
