About USS Constitution

Floating in the Boston Harbor is a piece of U.S. military history that should not be missed! Nicknamed "Old Ironsides" for its victories against Great Britain in the War of 1812, this waterborne museum tells the tale of the ship's construction, post-war fame, and current status as "America's Ship of State." The oldest commissioned warship on the water today, the U.S. Navy and the ship's 60-man crew use the vessel to promote awareness of the Navy. This historic frigate can be boarded by the public at Pier 1, the end of Boston's Freedom Trail.
